Single-Component Formulation

POLYMASTIC is a single-component adhesive solution formulated from synthetic elastomers and solvents specially selected for their compatibility with polystyrene. This unique formulation prevents any material degradation while ensuring enhanced adhesion after sanding and excellent water resistance.

Application Areas

This versatile adhesive enables the fixing of expanded and extruded polystyrenes (slabs, panels), conventional insulants (mineral wools, polyurethane panels), decorative elements (rosettes, cornices) as well as wood or PVC skirting boards on common absorbent and non-absorbent substrates in construction.

Substrate Preparation

Surfaces must be flat, dry and free from dust, grease or any contaminant likely to impair adhesion. Clean if necessary with EMFINET 688/1 solution, first checking solvent compatibility with materials. When using solvents, eliminate all sources of ignition and strictly follow the manufacturer's safety instructions. Sanded metal surfaces must be re-cleaned and left to dry after degreasing. The temperature of the adhesive and substrates must be maintained between 10 and 30 °C.

Gluing Method

Apply the adhesive with a spatula, in dots or beads, on the smoothest face of the material. Position the element temporarily, remove it to check adhesive transfer. After 10 minutes, apply firmly to make the bond permanent. Final setting occurs after 48 to 72 hours on absorbent substrates and 7 days on non-absorbent substrates, provided solvents have evaporated correctly before final fixing.
