Technical Design

This long-reach bit made of solid carbide features an optimized centering tip, two main cutting edges and two sharpened cutting spurs for efficient chip evacuation. Models from Ø 25 mm benefit from special wavy edges, while diameters above Ø 50 mm are equipped with a hexagonal shank ensuring optimal transmission of cutting force.

Applications

Versatile tool for precise drilling of hardwoods, chipboard panels (melamine-faced or raw) and composite materials. Compatible with acrylic, Corian®, fiberglass, laminates, PVC, polycarbonate and Trespa®. The cutting geometry ensures clean and dimensionally stable holes without edge breakout.

Operating Conditions

Stationary use only on pillar drills or boring machines. This usage constraint guarantees exceptional service life and maximum drilling performance. For handheld use, the Bormax WS prima 1614 reference is recommended.
