Reinforced Bi-Metal Construction

This hole saw combines a high-speed steel cutting edge laser-welded to an alloy steel body, all vacuum-hardened to 65 HRC at 600°C. The Matrix II alloy with 8% cobalt preserves tooth integrity even during intensive drilling on metals. The 1.27 mm thickness eliminates any risk of warping and allows reaching a cutting depth of 41 mm.

Cutting Performance

The variable tooth profile of 4 to 6 teeth per inch and the 10° sharpening angle ensure aggressive penetration and fast cuts. The optimized inter-tooth geometry facilitates chip evacuation and prevents clogging, while the alternate tooth pattern guarantees clean finishes without material deformation.

Compatibility & Ergonomics

The hexagonal 1/4" shank with Shockzone™ body offers increased durability on modern impact drivers. Low feed force operation adapts perfectly to cordless tools. The thick steel back plate reinforces rigidity, minimizes vibrations and prevents hole enlargement. Four arbor centering holes and a rounded back facilitate mounting, while diagonal slots allow simplified ejection of the mandrel.
